About Larson Custom Woodworks
What I do
I am a custom wood craftsman and designer. Cabinetry, vanities, and built-ins. By combining a modern sense of design and function with a keen eye and dedication to quality, I can create custom pieces for any space.
Who I am
My name is Josh Larson and I am the proud owner of Larson Custom Woodworks. My roots are deep in Northern California and I come from a long line of skilled craftsmen.
Larson Custom Woodworks can trace its origins back to the late 1800's, when my grandfather's great grandfather, Lewis Larson, opened a shingle mill in Humboldt County. The family tradition of building in Humboldt County has continued in every generation since.
Maybe the family tradition helps explain why I have such a passion for crafting unique pieces from beautiful wood. I love the satisfaction of turning a client's need into a functional piece of art. I grew up learning from one of Eureka's finest finishers, my father, and I honed my woodworking skills by starting in a well respected local shop as a teenager. Over the past 2 decades I feel I have developed into a well rounded woodworker, which I believe is key to developing a unique, appealing design.
